This is the 2nd time that I’m celebrating Christmas away from the family.  This time, I’m celebrating Christmas in Boracay.  Boracay has a great weather in December, sun is not too hot, so one can enjoy the beach to his/her heart content.  But as for me, as much as I want to go to the beach to swim and just enjoy the sun and the water, I’m not allowed to go due to post operative conditions.

I cant believe that I see less people here in Boracay in December compared to March and May when we were here. There are more tourist during the summer time.  The world crisis must have affected the tourism in Boracay.   One of the business owners here said that this Christmas is not the same as the Christmas in 2007 when Boracay was black with people.

I’m wondering where are those people who have booked ticket for Boracay. I say this because when I was booking ticket last November, I had a hard time getting us tickets and end up booking defferent schedules just to be able to return to Manila and go to Bicol as scheduled.   I was also informed by the hotel that we cant stay 6 consecutive days in the same room because there are guests who have already booked the hotel ahead of us, but to my surprise when we arrived here on Sunday,  we were informed that we need not move thrice in a week time.  I think many have cancelled holiday in Boracay and will just spend Christmas at home to save money.

Anyway, I hope that world economy crisis ends soon.  Merry Christmas everyone!
