I was surprised when my friend told me that there are millions of people in the world who don’t have access to electricity. She acquired a land in a beautiful island of Palawan, and they are using solar energy for their electricity source. One of the items that they use in their house is a solar bulb called Nokero (short for no kerosene). This solar bulb uses is an led lightbulb. Nokero is charged by the sun and the light could last up to 6 hours. This bulb is around 13.5 lumens on high and around 5 lumens on low. A bulb can light a room for a night without using candles or lamps with kerosene. Therefore, the danger of getting a house burned is prevented.

Fruit Salad

I made a fruit salad and I tried to use Angel Kremdensada instead of the usual all purpose cream and condensed milk. I’m thinking that it’s more economical since it’s a combination of cream and condensed milk. But I was disappointed. A can of Kremdensada is worth Php50. An all-purpose cream and a small condensed milk, would cost a total of Php60 to 70 but it will be worth it.

Here’s what I usually put in my simple yet delicious fruit salad.

1 small can of fruit cocktail
1 all purpose cream
1/2 can small condensed milk

It’s always nice to explore and discover what is the best. For me, I’d go back to my usual salad ingredients.

Perfect for the hot weather

I just had an Arce Dairy strawberry ice cream. It was perfect for the very hot weather today. I wish that the sunny days will be over soon. Rainy days, when are you coming?

I think the temperature today must be around 37degrees Celcius. Enough to burn the calories that I got from eating a pint of ice cream.
