I’ve got free one-way plane ticket

Last Tuesday, I was supposed to be flying to Boracay for a holiday (AGAIN). Our flight was scheduled to be at 3:10pm (that was the earlist flight for that day going to Caticlan), we were supposed to be on board by 2:40PM; however, 2:40 came and we were not yet called to board, and the announcement came as “Flight 5J903, flight will be delayed due to delayed turn around aircraft, please standby for further announcement”. Thinking that the flight will be delayed again, I was planning to remove my blog about Cebu Pacific flight is on time.

Our flight was re scheduled at 4:50PM and we were called to get on board by 4:30PM. We were in the airport since 1:30PM because we didnt want to be late (we already learned lesson about arriving 5 minutes late in the airport). So we had to wait for at least 3 hours before our flight.  Upon finding seat, fastening our belts, and hearing from the captain to get ready for the flight, another announcement came that our flight would not push through due to unsufficient sunligth in Caticlan. Apparently, sunset earlier than the usual so all flights to Caticlan were cancelled.  There were about 5 flights that time that were cancelled.  The cancelled fligh was not really fault of Cebu Pacific, the sunlight is beyond their control. So, made up my mind to retain my blog entry :-D .

After hearing the announcement, we wereasking the airline staff what to do next, so they just instructed us to go to arrival area, get our things and wait for an orientation about what to do.  The airline was just generous enough to give us overnight stay in Nichols Hotel and a one-way complimentary ticket.

To make the story short, we had to fly to Caticlan the following day, with flight schedule at 5:30am, and had to wake up at 2AM to prepare.  So, that’s the story how I got my one-way complimentary ticket from Cebu Pacific :-) I am yet to plan when to use the free ticket that I got. The ticket is not transferrable by the way…
