What to expect in Boracay after typhoon

Before I bought our ticket to Boracay last Monday, I was told by G to book for Panglao because province of Aklan was badly hit by super typhoon Frank, but then, there was no available flight for Tuesday so I decided to book Boracay instead.

Boracay was sunny when we arrived but I could feel the spirit of depression lurking in the area, this is probably due to the typhoon and the destruction that it has caused the province. Vehicles didnt go to Caticlan Jetty Port, they went to Angol Port and boats from Angol Port go to another port in Boracay instead of Cagban. The Boracay Main Road was being cleaned when we passed by and some branches of trees are piled at the back of the hotel where we are staying.

Thanks God Boracay was not greatly affected by the typhoon unlike the nearby places like Kalibo and Iloilo which were hit and damaged by typhoon tremendously.

The sea seemed still angry because of its waves and and strong wind. Even though it’s wavy and windy, there are still many tourists swimming and finding pleasure in the wind by paragliding, one of the water activities here in Boracay that I want to enjoy someday.

Boracay is still a paradise after the typhoon.
